Human Rights Now (HRN) is an international human rights NGO based in Japan. It was established in 2006 by a group of human rights professionals, including lawyers, researchers, journalists, and citizens, to eradicate serious human rights violations that continue to occur around the world. Based on internationally established human rights standards, Human Rights Now works to eliminate human rights violations across borders, starting from Japan, with the aim of creating a fair world free of conflict and human rights violations. Purpose
Human Rights Now, an international human rights NGO, is recruiting a new staff member to work on our Business and Human Rights Project.
This position will be responsible for coordinating and implementing various business and human rights-related activities (literature research, field surveys, report preparation, press conference and event organization, lobbying, public relations, etc.) as well as supporting secretariat functions.

Ability to understand Human Rights Now's mission and carry out work appropriately and sincerely
Communication and presentation skills in English and Japanese to quickly and smoothly coordinate internal and external matters, and leadership skills (Advanced business level English and Japanese are essential)
At least 5 years of experience in business and human rights (including corporate experience). Work experience in an NGO/international organization/company, overseas study or internship experience is preferred.
PC skills (basic Word and Excel operations, email operations, database input)
Must have knowledge, experience and interest in the international human rights situation, as well as knowledge and experience in international human rights law and business and human rights, and a desire to continue learning.
Must have a strong sense of responsibility, be able to perform tasks accurately, and be able to properly handle written and telephone correspondence, etc.
While valuing teamwork, we are able to proactively tackle challenges with innovative thinking without being bound by existing methods.

Salary
Monthly salary: 300,000 yen (including 20 hours of fixed overtime per month). Employment insurance and social insurance included.
