Monday, May 15th, is International Day of Families!

更新日:3月22日

Although this year's #GivingTuesday is on November 28, you don't have to wait until then to be generous!

Why not give generosity and kindness every week, by participating in the #GivingEveryTuesday challenge?

On our @givingtuesdayjapan account, we will be sharing various acts of kindness you can do every week. Don't forget to follow and share!

This week, let's see what you can do to support families.

International Day of Families is observed annually on May 15 around the world.

The day was declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 1993 with the adoption of its resolution (A/RES/47/237). This day provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase the knowledge of the social, economic, and demographic processes affecting families.

Families in modern-day Japan face a wide range of issues - the separation of a family due to divorce, child abuse, teenage pregnancy, poverty, the unequal burden of domestic labor, and the increasing demand for elderly care.

Needless to say, it is more important than ever to take action to support families.

With generosity and acts of kindness, we can create a world where all families, regardless of their circumstances, have access to food, shelter, education, and emotional support.

Let's make this happen!
