Today marks the third annual celebration of Giving Tuesday in Japan! As our second full year with the Giving Tuesday Global team comes to a close, we have learned (and done) a lot and have a lot to look forward to in 2026!

Making sure that no child is left behind, Hikari Naito, joined Chance for Children because of her own childhood experiences! We at Giving Tuesday Japan had the exclusive opportunity to interview her about her mission, what inspired her to join Chance For Children, and how we all can support this amazing cause.

Like Giving Tuesday, World Caring Day serves as a catalyst for inspiring acts of kindness and highlighting the various ways people show kindness.  While it isn’t regulated to a single day, some people need a nudge to recognize how they are caring.  Some kind souls don’t see helping others as a caring act, but rather as something that is just a part of their character or daily routine.
