Japan Charity Spotlight: JAPAN TEAM OF YOUNG HUMAN POWER (JHP)

In honor of September 8, #InternationalLiteracyDay. Giving Tuesday Japan is highlighting an amazing charity that has been helping fight illiteracy for many decades!

JAPAN TEAM OF YOUNG HUMAN POWER (JHP) is an NGO dedicated mainly to literacy improvement and music and art education in Cambodia. They build schools, develop teaching materials, and train teachers. With adult literacy education added in 2018, their reading, writing, and math programs in rural areas have produced 462 newly literate adults!

Aiming to improve quality of life through skill acquisition, their work creates a virtuous cycle in which people can realize the value of education and support their own children's learning.

Check out their website and social media accounts for more information on how to support, volunteer, or express gratitude.
